Music connects, let alone epitomising the musician’s very being. Once acknowledged by the soul, it becomes an integral element of spirit and never fades. A voice so mellisonant and a persona that’s tenacious yet enticing, to say that Yasin Torki is an ‘ace’ or an ‘all-rounder’ donning several hats will be an understatement. Imagine this- a singer who produces, composes, mixes and a master engineer who can do it all.
Born on the 3rd of January 1993, Yasin Torki’s musical journey took off when he discovered his passion for music at the tender age of 3, starting with the synthesiser. In September 2004 he pursued his studies in music at Isfahan’s School of Arts, with a specialisation in Violin. However, due to a congenital lack of one finger in Torki’s left hand, this dynamic musician didn’t give up on a craft that had chosen him, which resulted in him playing the trumpet. Currently, he plays an arsenal of instruments including the piano, sitar, santoor, and different percussion instruments. 2008, was the year when the public witnessed this budding talent, staging his debut when he was chosen to orchestrate the orchestra of Isfahan’s School of Arts for 3 years from 2008 till 2010. During this period, he started to develop a strong interest in mixing traditional Iranian folklore music with Electronic Dance Music (EDM) and has been producing EDM music since 2012 and has produced music for many famous Iranian singers including Tohi, Amirabbas Golab, Shahab Mozafari, Sasy, Mehdi Yaghmaei, and Masih.
