Rich desserts for the festive season

Every holiday during winter isn’t complete without a special dessert of its own. Desserts are the highlights of holidays and during the month of December, sweet treats are always in abundance at every bakery and cafes, but when it’s home-made, it hits a lot different. Whether it’s family gathering lunch, a solo dinner time or a friend’s food board party, home-made desserts will always be the one dish everyone will without fail chomp down because that’s just how desserts work for some reason! Here is a selection of unique and delicious desserts you can give a try for this winter.

1. Fudgy Red Velvet Brownies
Brownies are a compact and nummy treats, especially when they’re red velvet and fudgy. These brownies have two rich layers of Fudge on the bottom and creamy cream cheese frosting on the top to compliment the flavors as well the lovely chewy texture. Ensure to make more of this because they sure do finish quick, rightfully.

2. Banana-Caramel Pudding
The combination of Banana and Caramel on its own must be promising enough. This pudding is easy to make and is usually topped off with whipped cream with caramel sauce drizzled on top. This pudding is smooth, creamy and a perfect dessert after a lunch or a dinner.

3. Blueberry-Cream Cheese Strudel
A classic Danish pastry remixed to result in an absolutely irresistible dessert ever. All the crispy yet flaky layers combined with the blueberry and cream cheese filling blend to produce one of the most delectable flavors. The tangines and creamy texture of the cream cheese as well at the splash of blueberry over the buttery dough come together as a rich taste.

4. Classic Chocolate Cake
Every time I watch Matilda, I ensure to rewatch the chocolate cake scene without fail, at least five times just because of how yummy it looks. The cake is moist and soft coated with layers of rich chocolate frosting. It’s a simple chocolate cake but it’s a classic and it’s timeless. Everyone loves a perfect chocolate cake and for the winter, nothing could be more perfect than a CCC (Classic Chocolate Cake).

5. Salted Peanut Butter Cookies
Cookies are such a homely snack. The smell of fresh- baked warm cookies is the smell of home. Mom protecting her batch of cookies from everyone in the house try to steal a bite while she isn’t looking is a happiness one can only feel. Salted peanut butter cookies nail the vibes with its delectable ingredients and the ultimate taste, a hint of saltiness flushed around with the nutty flavors of peanut butter and the chewy texture of the perfectly baked cookie.
