OVS Launches Women’s Fall/Winter 2021 Collection

OVS, Italy’s leading apparel fashion brand for men, women and children’s clothing has launched its women’s FW21 Collection across select stores in the UAE this September.

For the first collection drop, the focus is on Provence, with hints of a bucolic style inspired by the French countryside. Casual elegance and spontaneous femininity is the inspiration for fresh, bright white blouses and romantic ditsy prints to wear with washed denim and faux leather. The colour chart ranges from delicate pink and light blue to deep green and claret.

The second FW21 drop features an unusual combination of icons: Vivienne Westwood and Coco Chanel. On one side, the anti-conformist fashion of the punk designer, with red tartan, exposed zips, decorative chains and leather mini dresses. On the other side, the Parisian elegance of Gabrielle, made of black and white herringbone weaves, and tweed jackets with jewel buttons. The result? Irreverent but balanced looks, audacious with grace.

The hyper-feminine feel triumphs with dresses that define the waistline, soft cardigans embellished with jewel buttons, and blouses with bows. Flared pants with close-fitting tops are a guarantee of striking, on-trend looks. Geometric prints with a retro feel give personality to the garments. The dominant shade is bright pink, expertly balanced by soft tints such as camel.

As the weather gets colder, the materials get comfier and fashion begins to have a more intimate and cosy dimension. Knitwear is central to the range, together with sweats from head to toe, and loungewear that works at home as well as outside. Ranging in soft, versatile colours in a palette that runs from mélange greys to lilac.

The wild nature of the prairies and moorlands is reflected in comfy easy wear items, dedicated to free, romantic spirits. Soft, carded knits, corduroys and eco-furs meet paisley and floral prints in a colourway of orange tones and other on-trend shades such as olive green. The key look is a boho maxi dress, paired with an oversized cardigan.
The new Baby Angel range is all about US college style. Think oversized college sweatshirts with school emblems, wide ripped denim and a masculine shirt for contemporary appeal, a blouse with textured collar and the classic pleated mini skirt for a casual look, or a denim jacket and a pair of trousers with pockets for a look à la garçonne. Other key items include knitted waistcoats and tartan shackets.

Eighties-style ditsy flower prints also appear on mini dresses to wear under a big cropped cardie. Oversized sweaters are reinterpreted in chenille or mouliné yarns in pastel tones. Lumberjack check shirts to wear over skinny fit pants with a coating leather-effect. The ribbed velvet shirt jacket closes the theme.

The athletic collection focuses on monochromes with urban athleisure shapes. Casual, sporty items, including hoodies and joggers, alongside sleeveless minidresses in leather and houndstooth shackets, are tailored to creating hi-lo looks.
