Exploring EXPO in Style

Months ago, we were all anticipating the launch of the Expo 2020 Dubai, and today it’s the talk of the year. Everywhere we go, we always spot the ones strolling in incredible grace and fashion. May it be dressed to impress, striking or minimal, comfort or quality, glamorous or luxurious, no matter what their individual style is, we always notice people dressed for the occasion and that’s exactly what makes them look the part.

Something like it at the Expo 2020, Dubai caught our eye with the many people from around the world exploring the Expo in such poise! Walk with us from one pavilion to another and discover the extraordinary outfits of these men and women.

Anastasia (UKRAINE)
Q1. How is the Expo going so far for you?
ANS: This place is full of innovation. As someone working here, I may say this is the highest level of progress by far and we can see it all in one place. So far, I am so happy to be here, it’s beautiful, bright and so much more that nobody in the world I believe has done it till date.
Q2. Is this your first time at the Expo?
ANS: Yes, it is my first time. I just entered and first off visited Ukraine and we will also go through the other countries.
Q3. What is your personal style?
ANS: My style is very striking, comfortable, and affordable. A combination of bright colors like yellow, a blend of orange & blue, green & gray are some of the fusions I like to pair. This is how I regularly choose my outfits, with like 3-4 different colors, open and comfortable but not oversized. Not today, but I generally also like wearing bright accessories as it puts me in a good mood.
Q5. Describe what you are currently wearing?
ANS: Very simple, my top and bottom is from Splash and H&M. The brown backpack I am carrying is from Accessorize and my sneakers are from Kangaroos.
Q4. Who is your fashion inspiration?
ANS: For myself, nobody in particular. I don’t usually look at trends, I believe it depends on your personality. I like to create my own trends, as long as I am comfortable and it lifts my mood. However, I am a fan of designers who are underrated and also things that are handmade and creative.

Tetiana (UKRAINE)
Q1. How is the Expo going so far for you?
ANS: It’s very beautiful and nice. I love it. I have visited Ukraine so far and will definitely check out the other pavilions too.
Q2. Is this your first time at the Expo?
ANS: Yes, I just entered the place and I love it.
Q3. What is your personal style?
ANS: My style is very simple, but trendy. I like wearing minimalistic fits and very few colors, not very bright, oversized pieces and unique! I want to be different and I also like alot of brands.
Q4. Describe what you are currently wearing?
ANS: So, my jacket is from Levis and leather pants are from Zara. The handbag I am carrying is from New Look and the sneakers are from Alexander McQueen.
Q5. Who is your Fashion Inspiration?
ANS: I love Karl Lagerfeld. He is the fashion king for me, unfortunately he is no longer with us but I love him alot! He is one of the coolest guys in the fashion industry. Also, I love Louis Vuitton as well as Balenciaga.

Q1. How is the Expo going so far for you?
ANS: I come from Italy, and I love it here enjoying the expo with my family.
Q2. Is this your first time at the Expo?
ANS: Yes, it is.
Q3. What is your personal Style?
ANS: I like wearing simple, comfortable and light colors.
Q4. Describe what you are currently wearing?
ANS: My T-shirt is from Gucci, I am wearing light colored shorts from Zara and my sneakers are from Hogan with Italian made socks.
Q5. Who is your Fashion Inspiration?
ANS: I love Italian designs and designers, very good quality stuff.

Q1. How is the Expo going so far for you?
ANS: I just arrived and I am loving it! This place is huge, massive and marvelous. I have only gone through the map so far, and it is quite appalling the way they have set up not only country wise but on subjects like sustainability, job opportunities so that is something that is quite impressive about the Expo.
Q2. Is this your first time at the Expo?
ANS: In Dubai, no. In the Expo, yes.
Q3. What is your personal style?
ANS: My personal style is all about comfort and quality. It is very important, irrespective of what you wear, that we all have to be comfortable in our own skin and in what we wear. I also believe that over a period of time, quality plays a very important role.
Q4. Describe what you are currently wearing?
ANS: So, what I am wearing right now considering the weather in Dubai is a linen co-ord suit from Marks & Spencers. The inner top is from Old Navy and the sneakers are from Reebok, again considering we are at an Expo and there is a lot of walking. Once more, you see everything I am wearing caters to quality and comfort.
Q5. Who is your Fashion Inspiration?
ANS: Not really, but today there are so many influencers who are really good with their fashion sense so I just tend to scroll through a lot of them and try to pick up on their style with a little blend of my own. Other than that, no one in particular.

Q1. How is the Expo going so far for you?
ANS: Very interesting, having the opportunity to know the history and see other countries all in one place. EXPO is very beautiful, I can’t find a perfect way to describe it.
Q2. Is this your first time at the Expo?
ANS: Yes, it is my first time at the Expo and also my first time in Dubai and I like it so much.
Q3. What is your personal style?
ANS: My style is not one, like I can wear a dress, jeans or anything as long as I am comfortable. I can say my style is minimalist and comfortable.
Q4. Describe what you are currently wearing?
ANS: So, I am wearing a black jumpsuit which I designed myself and got it tailored with a simple black sling bag and white tie up sneakers.
Q4. Who is your Fashion Inspiration?
ANS: Considering my size, it is difficult for me to find something in the market, so I don’t have anyone that inspires me but myself. Most of my outfits, if I like something, I send it to a tailor to be custom made for me.

Dalal (KSA)
Q1. How is the expo going so far for you?
ANS: It is nice, beautiful. We just arrived and we can’t wait to explore.
Q2. Is this your first time at the Expo?
ANS: Yes, it is.
Q3. What is your personal style?
ANS: My personal style is very chic, girly and trendy. I like wearing dresses, being glam and luxurious.
Q4. Describe what you are currently wearing?
ANS: So, my dress is from SheIn and I put on a white shirt which is from Zara. The bag I am carrying is from Louis Vuitton and my shoes are from Loro Piana.
Q5. Who is your Fashion Inspiration?
ANS: I love Louis Vuitton, as you can see.

Elham (KSA)
Q1. How is the Expo going so far for you?
ANS: I am loving it, it’s massive and beautiful. I can’t wait to see what’s in store.
Q2. Is this your first time at the Expo?
ANS: Yes it is.
Q3. What is your personal style?
ANS: My style is very minimalist and trendy. I love the new vintage trends coming back. I also actually have my own Abaya brand called the @sedracollection back in Saudi.
Q4. Describe what you are currently wearing?
ANS: The white shirt I am wearing is from Zara. It is a linen shirt. The checkered pants are from Bershka and the bag I am carrying is Christian Dior. I am wearing Nike sports shoes on my feet.
Q5. What is your Fashion Inspiration?
ANS: I can say I am my own inspiration.

Munira (KSA)
Q1. How is the Expo going so far for you?
ANS: It’s been an amazing experience till now, let’s see what we can see more in here.
Q2. Is this your first time at the Expo?
ANS: Yes it is.
Q3. What is your personal style?
ANS: My style is very minimalist. I like wearing dark colors, and monochromatic fits.
Q4. Describe what you are currently wearing?
ANS: I am wearing a black top with black pants all from Bershka. I am carrying a Chanel pouch and my shoes are from Balenciaga.
Q5. What is your Fashion Inspiration?
ANS: My fashion inspiration is Nujoud AlRumaihi.

Fadyah (KSA)
Q1. How is the Expo going so far for you?
ANS: I just came, and I am loving it! I am enjoying the food and the ambience.
Q2. Is this your first time at the Expo?
ANS: Yes it is.
Q3. What is your personal style?
ANS: My style is very glam and luxurious. I like wearing prints, and bold colors.
Q4. Describe what you are currently wearing?
ANS: I am wearing a Co-ord set which is from Zara and a bag that is from Balenciaga. My boots are from SheIn.
Q5. What is your Fashion Inspiration?
ANS: My fashion inspiration is @sedracollection, my sister’s brand in Saudi.

Q1. How is the Expo going so far for you?
ANS: Expo is one of the most important global destinations in the world and now in Dubai, I am very happy with this great event, I have been waiting for it since Dubai was declared a winner.
Q2. Is this your first time at the Expo?
ANS: This is not the first time, because I am very interested in this exhibition and would like to visit all the pavilions
Q3. What is your personal style?
ANS: Being an interior designer, I like to wear elegant and comfortable clothes at the same time, especially in this huge exhibition. We need comfortable and modern clothes with sports shoes suitable for long walks.
Q4. Describe what you are currently wearing?
ANS: I am wearing a printed silk suit with a white button up shirt inside. My clothes today are from Rose Paulino. I am carrying a Fendi sling handbag with a white pair of comfy sneakers.
Q5. What is your Fashion Inspiration?
ANS: I do not have one designer or brand, I only choose my clothes through it, but I like to choose what is suitable for me and keeps pace with fashion, such as the fashion houses of Dior, Dolce, Gucci and Zara.

MEN’S EXPO FASHION

• Suhail (UAE)

Q1. How is the Expo going so far for you?
ANS: It’s really fun, I’ve been here almost five times and coming to the Expo, having the passports is something that excites me to come visit everyday. I really enjoy seeing how the future is going to look like and getting a glimpse of it. For someone being born here and seeing how fast everything has developed, it’s phenomenal.
Q2. Is this your first time at the Expo?
ANS: No, I have been here almost 5 times.
Q3. What is your personal style?
ANS: I like wearing matching colored outfits and monochromatic fits. I think this is called co-ords.
Q4. Describe what you are currently wearing?
ANS: I am wearing a Co-ord set and white Adidas superstars on my feet.
Q5. What is your Fashion Inspiration?
ANS: One of the local inspirations I have is Ms. Taim Al Falasi. She’s a local business woman and someone I aspire to be one day. I love what she does, and I love her style.

Q1. How is the Expo going so far for you?
ANS: It is really amazing, we are loving it!
Q2. Is this your first time at the Expo?
ANS: Yes, it’s my first time.
Q3. What is your personal style?
ANS: I like wearing simple, street style outfits.
Q4. Describe what you are currently wearing?
ANS: I am wearing an oversized white graphic tee, with some Nike tracks and Nike sports sneakers.
Q5. What is your Fashion Inspiration?
ANS: Chinese street style fashion is what inspires me the most.

James (CHINA)
Q1. How is the Expo going so far for you?
ANS: I love it, it’s huge and beautiful. I just came so we have a lot to explore.
Q2. Is this your first time at the Expo?
ANS: Yes, it’s my first time.
Q3. What is your personal style?
ANS: My style is very simple, I like casual, comfortable clothing.
Q4. Describe what you are currently wearing?
ANS: I am wearing a basic T-shirt from Tommy Hilfiger and a pair of shorts from Fila. I am carrying a Gucci shoulder bag and wearing basic black sports shoes on my feet.
Q5. What is your Fashion Inspiration?
ANS: I don’t really have any inspiration. I just wear what makes me feel comfortable.
