Diamonds Are Formed from Cole

We all know diamonds are created from coal under pressure, well Cole Weston (20) truly is an explosive, unique, precious gem. Cole is a new up and coming model and actor. He was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming and later moved to South Carolina with his family. Coming from a fairly decent sized family, Cole even has a twin brother. Growing up he knew at the young age of eight he wanted to be an actor and model. He was very photogenic as a kid and was told by many that he knew. Cole participated in theatre which fueled the desire further for the entertainment industry.

What do people think you do verses what you actually do as a model?

People always ask me what brands I have worked for, so they think to be a model it’s only for a brand which in fact it varies sometimes it’s the client’s vision or it’s a photographer’s vision.  

Do most people think it’s just taking a photo? How much work is really involved in that?

Oh yes, it’s more than that, modeling is definitely work, it takes lots of focus and you have to bring your “A” game. 

You started representation with your agency when exactly?

December. Oh wow, so things have happened quickly? Yea, it really has, I’m still getting used to New York coming from a small town.

Health is always a priority. What is your favorite workout and healthy snack?

Yoga and meditation for workouts. Strawberries are my favorite but really all berries.

What is your favorite food?

Asian foods, sushi and seafood.

What is your favorite movie, music and book?

Shag the movie. 

I’ve never heard of that. What is it about?

It’s about two girls that go to Myrtle Beach and don’t tell their parents. They learn about Shag dancing. My favorite music to listen to is the classic oldies. I really like Fleetwood Mac. I really love the new song with Stevie Nicks and Miley Cyrus. My favorite book is called Something in the Water by Catherine Steadman. My grandmother let me borrow it.

Do you have a motivational quote that inspires you? 

When the waves of life crash down on you, pick yourself up, get ready for the next on and ride it like you own it. I’m a surfer and that’s why it actually spoke to me and I was going through a lot and “crashing in the waves of life” that helped me get back up and repair a broken relationship with my mom, find myself, and figure out what I want in life. Which led me to where I am today living the dream I’ve had since I was a little kid in South Carolina. 

What is something people don’t know about you that you would like them to know? I’m an artist and graphic artist. I’ve had three years of graphic art. I also like to paint. 

As an actor and model with a platform is there anything you would like to be known for? Yes, an environmentalist especially for ocean life. Clean ocean water and save the sea turtles. I look around New York sometimes and think this isn’t good for the ocean and all the pollution.
