Dubai Silicon Oasis Celebrates UAE’s 50th National Day

Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), marked the UAE’s 50th National Day and Golden Jubilee celebrations at the Dubai Digital Park (DDP) through a series of events and activities that highlighted the importance of this occasion. DSO’s employees, business partners and the community participated in the special events.
DSO highlighted the history of the union, and its impressive journey through its outdoor museum, created specifically for the occasion. There were Arabian horse cavalry, falcon exhibition, traditional Ayala and Harbia dance performances, and a traditional workshop on well-known Emirati handicraft art Al-Sadu, which is featured in the UNESCO’s cultural heritage list.
Dr Juma Al Matrooshi, Deputy CEO of DSO, said: “As the UAE marks its 50th National Day, it enjoys a pride of place with its achievements across many global indicators in different areas including innovation, entrepreneurship, integration of digital infrastructure, adoption of advanced technology, flexibility of doing business and ease of establishing businesses.”
He added: “We are proud of what the UAE’s sustainable economy has achieved over the years, with its strong focus on knowledge and innovation, while continuing to enhance its competitiveness and attract more companies and investments from around the world. This progress has been achieved in the light of the strategic vision of our wise leadership, which made the UAE, in its golden jubilee, a global destination and a favorable environment for living, working, creativity, achievement and quality. All these have made UAE the land of opportunities where dreams and ambitions are realised and the Impossible is Possible”.
Participants enjoyed a plethora of cultural and social activities, while children enjoyed cultural games, amidst henna, photography kiosks, and authentic Emirati cuisine and sweets adding a traditional touch to the celebrations.
